Dr. Grayson earned his Ph.D. in Psychology (Clinical Neuropsychology-subspecialty in Pediatric/Adolescence) from the City University of New York in 2002. This followed his undergraduate work in the form of a BA and BS from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1990. Pediatric specializations were obtained through clinical internships at Mt. Sinai Medical Center, Schneider Children’s/LIJ Hospital, and Blythedale Children's Hospital. Before starting Neuro-Diversity Matters (previously Starting Point for Your Child) in 2010, Dr. Grayson served as a neuropsychologist in several medical, rehabilitation, and child/adolescent psychiatry settings. Dr. Grayson has also held adjunct faculty positions at several colleges and universities in New York and Connecticut, including Einstein College of Medicine, Post University, and most recently UConn-Stamford, Department of Psychology. He continues to serve as an independent consultant for several state agencies and school districts across the region. Dr. Grayson specializes in the evaluation of children with complex neurodevelopmental disorders, autism spectrum disorder, learning /attentional disabilities, and co-morbid behavioral and social/emotional challenges. Dr. Grayson strongly believes every child has unique strengths, which should be celebrated. He is committed to discovering those unique abilities and using them to help your child reach their full potential in a way that feels natural to them.
